This Training Rock Skills – Intermediate course is aimed at individuals who wish to learn how to become a safe belayer, how to second routes competently and how to belay a lead climber. You will develop your climbing movement skills and learn how to place protection and construct belays.

Depending on an individual's skill level, participants will have the opportunity to try their hands at top-roping, abseiling, and bouldering too. Our aim is for all of our participants to get the most of their course whilst providing the information needed to develop the passion and confidence to undertake a new hobby. So why don’t you come and join us!

During your course our highly knowledgeable instructors will tailor their delivery to individual requirements and will be on hand to offer advice on how you, your friends or your family can enjoy visiting some of those great British climbing venues the UK has to offer and ultimately pick up some of those essential climbing skills along the way.

The syllabus is laid down by Mountain Training and will cover the following topics:
• Background and Planning
• Climbing Skills
• Footwear & Equipment
